The Giving Season: How Preferred Partners Support Their Communities

During the holiday season, we often turn our attention to giving — to our families, our friends, our coworkers, our communities. But then there are those who are committed to charitable efforts all year long. Many of our global partners in the Preferred Office Network family give back to their communities with yearly initiatives that positively impact local nonprofits and charitable organizations. In the spirit of giving, we’d like to highlight some of these philanthropic superstars here.

Avanti Workspace – Salt Lake City, UT and Carlsbad, CA Avanti Workspace supports the Meals on Wheels organization that addresses senior hunger and isolation as well as encourages volunteer opportunities for its staff and members.

Carr Workplaces – Washington, DC Carr Workplaces provides all of its employees with an annual charity day, empowering them to give back to their communities through volunteer efforts. In addition, the family-owned company helps guide the operators of its coworking centers to host regular client events that support charitable initiatives.   

Executive OfficeSuites of Baldwin Park – Orlando, FL Executive OfficeSuites of Baldwin Park is a proud supporter of its Orlando community and a strong presence at a variety of charitable events around the city. 

Gather – Virginia Gather is a community-focused coworking provider with locations throughout Richmond, Newport News, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach. Gather encourages connections between its members and the outside community and supports a variety of philanthropic efforts, including donating school supplies and coats for underprivileged children.   

Grit & Lavender – Brighton, MI Grit & Lavender Owner and Founder Natalie Miller is active in her Southeast Michigan community, including the Chamber of Commerce and other professional organizations that help women grow in their careers. 

Intelligent Office – Northeast Florida Intelligent Office was founded to help small businesses grow and prosper. The company nurtures business owners from solopreneurs through enterprise companies and supports its community with food drives held in its centers along with other charitable efforts. 

Intelligent Office – Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey Intelligent Office locations in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey support Covenant House, a nonprofit organization providing safe housing and care for young people experiencing homelessness and trafficking. 

NWA Workplaces – Northwest Arkansas NWA Workplaces is active in Rotary International, a global fellowship of business and community leaders taking action on the world’s most persistent problems, as well as JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research. The two locations also regularly donate to local charities in their communities.

Office Alternatives – Albuquerque, NM Office Alternatives’ two locations in Albuquerque hold toy drives every holiday season for local children in need. 

Office Evolution of the Triad – Central North Carolina The Piedmont Triad Office Evolution locations are also active in Rotary International, as well as Toys for Tots, which collects Christmas gifts for children each year. The company also regularly donates to client organizations and offers local nonprofits discounts for their coworking spaces.

OfficeNJ – Central New Jersey OfficeNJ is active in its Piscataway, NJ, community, regularly contributing to a variety of local charities making a difference throughout the region.

Venture X – US, Canada, UK, Spain, and Costa Rica The global locations of this coworking company give back to their communities in multiple ways, including collecting food, coats, blankets, school supplies, toys, and more for people in need.
